IT Department recognizes Best Staff
As part of its annual year-end party, the Information Technology Department recognized its outstanding staff and lecturers last Thursday, May 26, 2016.
Mr. Prasanna Christodoss bagged the most coveted “Most Outstanding Staff” award in the department.
Mr. Santhoss Kumar, Ms. Shija Gangadhran, and Mr. Kumaresan Gajaran were awarded “Most Outstanding Teacher” in the Mathematics Section while Dr. Lemuel Nalugon and Mr. M. Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy received the awards in the Networking Section. Mr. Aijas Ahmed and Dr. Bhraguram TM Thayyil were the best teachers for Database Specialization while Mr. Prasanna Christodoss and Ms. Myra Patalay were the best teachers for the Software Engineering Specialization.
Dr. Mary Jane Aragon, IT Department Head, delivered the welcome remarks after IT Lecturer Mr. Mir Abid recited a passage from the Quran.
In this event, a video presentation, prepared by IT Lecturers Mr. Edgardo Dalan Jr and Mr. Gregory Danguilan, was exhibited to the audience. The video showed photos of various activities done in the department and the Running Man Challenge of the IT Staff.
Also, the IT staff were awarded certificates of completion for the Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC) they completed, certificates of attendance for the seminar-workshops and trainings sponsored by IT Staff Professional Development Committee (SPDC), certificates of recognition to those IT staff who coached students in various student competitions, and certificates of appreciation for area and program coordinators, and head of sections of the past two academic years.
Mr. Madhu Anithottathil Thankappan and Ms. Redjie Villar rendered songs as intermission numbers.
The IT staff also participated in the game “Cloud Words Puzzle” prepared by Mr. Prasanna Christodoss and Mr. Justin Rajasekaran.
Ms. Aysha Matar Al-Jabri, Assistant Dean for Academics, assisted the HoD, and HoSs in the awarding of certificates.
Ms. Fawziya Al-Jabri, HoD of HR Department, and Ms. Moza Al-Shehi, HoD of Business Studies Department, graced the event.
Dr. Lemuel Nalugon and Ms. Redjie Villar served as masters of ceremonies.
