The Alumni Committee of the Information Technology Department hosted a workshop on 15th November 2023, titled "Life after Graduation: A Personal and Professional Development Workshop” for Alumni.

Led by experienced lecturers of the IT Department, Ms. Anu Krishna, Mr. Kumar Mohan, and Mr. Mohamed Kuresh Safir, the workshop addressed key career essentials such as curriculum vitae (CV) preparation, self-introduction skills, interview preparation, job hunting strategies, and entrepreneurship insights.

Participants, both alumni and students, walked away with practical advice that will benefit them both personally and professionally. The participants learned how to use various software programs and online tools that assisted them in creating their CVs or resumes, editing photos for CVs, and so on. The interactive sessions allowed for direct interaction with the speakers, fostering a collaborative learning environment.

Feedback from the participants emphasized the workshop's effectiveness in providing actionable insights for navigating life after graduation. The commitment of university to supporting alumni beyond academics was evident, laying the groundwork for future initiatives aimed at fostering the professional growth of its community. The workshop concluded with the presentation of certificates to the participants and speakers. Ms. Amna Al-Kaabi, Head of Section of the IT Department, presented the certificates.
