Information Tecnology (IT) lecturers from IT and Networking Sections visited Sohar Aluminium, Suhar, Oman, on October 10, 2018.

The industry visit aimed to assess and evaluate training and employment opportunities for IT students and graduates as well as training opportunities for IT Staff.

In the said visit, Mr. Suleiman Al-Mamari, software developer from IT Section, gave an overview about the company, and the responsibilities of IT Section. He also explained the different in-house projects or applications their section has developed.

IT Leader Engineer Mr. Saif Ul-Islam Waleed explained about Server Administration, Firewall, Virtualization, Cluster, Server Security, and Backup methods while Mr. Pradeep explained about CISCO ACI & Spine Switch and SDN.

Afterwards, discussion on training and employment opportunities was facilitated.

Said industry was made possible through the cooperation of the Industrial Visit Committee of the IT Department, in cooperation with the On-the-Job Training (OJT) Department of the College.
