Seven (7) students of Graphical User Interface (GUI) class visited Thuraya.biz last November 10, 2015.

Thuraya.biz provides services on design, brand management, event management, and montage modern digital.

Mr. Ahmed Ibrahim Al-Ajmi, CEO, welcomed the group and talked about the company in general, and the products and services they offer to their clients. He also explained the business model, and the projects we are usually working with.

The students had an ocular inspection of the company’s recording studio, conference room, and other offices. Similar with the famous Google offices, their offices provide an open and relaxing working environment in which allows one to play golf, ride a swing ride, and write ideas on the freedom wall. Students also had some informal talks with employees about their responsibilities and portfolios.

The industry visit, organized by Industrial Link Committee of the Information Technology (IT) Department, aimed to expose GUI students to the current trends, tools in graphics design, and to allow them to discover the real technology /work world.

IT lecturer Ms. Myra Patalay joined the students in the visit.
