IMCO Empowers Students with Real-Time Training in Transport Chain Simulator
The National University International Maritime College (IMCO) hosted a free training session for seventeen (17) Department of Business Administration, UTAS-Shinas first-year students studying "Principles of Supply Chain & Logistics Management" on 14th November 2023, utilizing the Transport Chain Simulator. This cutting-edge program aimed to immerse students in real-time scenarios across the transport chain, providing hands-on experience to prepare them for the challenges within the maritime transport sector. Beginning with theoretical groundwork, students transitioned to practical exercises using the Transport Chain Simulator software, engaging in inquiries about warehouse storage, processing "Request for Quotation," and operational-level activities such as storage allocation and duration determination. This exposure allowed students to bridge the gap between theory and practice, enhancing their understanding of supply chain management.The immersive training at IMCO's Transport Chain Simulator offered invaluable practical insights to aspiring professionals.
