ShCT conducts CPR, Fire Safety Training
Shinas College of Technology (ShCT) in cooperation with Public Authority of Civil Defence and Ambulance (PACDA) organized “Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) Training” and “Lecture on How to Deal with Fire with Practical Training” held at Theater, Engineering Building, on March 28-29, 2018.
PACDA Staff corporals Khalid Al Ghafiri and Said Al Kaabi gave a brief presentation on the reasons, timing and proper procedure in conducting CPR to different kinds of patient age (adult, child and infant), followed by a practical training using dummies.
On the second day, Sargent Rashid Al Miqbali gave a lecture on Fire Fighting followed by practical training in open area where the trainees used fire extinguishers and blankets to control fire.
Academic, non-academic staff and students attended the two-day training spearheaded by the Health and Safety College Committee (HSCC) of the College.
