The Engineering club, in co-ordination with the Mechanical section of the Engineering department, arranged a seminar on parabolic trough solar collectors–future & challenges on 20^th October 2015. More than 50 students attended the seminar delivered by Dr. Mohammed Al-Washahi.

Dr. Al-Washahi presented the future of this technology for Oman. He presented a study for the production of electricity and water using the parabolic trough solar collectors in Oman. Finally, Dr. Al-Weshahi showed a comparison between the photovoltaic solar cell and the parabolic trough.
