Mr. Inder Pal Singh, a lecturer in the Engineering department in the mechanical section, of Shinas College of Technology, Oman, presented his research paper entitled “Merits of Parallel Coupled Band-pass Filter over End Coupled Band-pass Filter in X Band”at the International Conference on Engineering and Natural Science (ICENS-2015) which was held on 1^st March 2015 in Dubai, UAE.

Since this conference was an interdisciplinary conference, great researchers and professors from divergent engineering fields such as Biotech, MEMS, Chemical engineering (Advanced Pollution Control Techniques, Bio-filters), and Synthesize of Bio-diesel participated in the event. This was truly an international affair, as researchers came from places such as Hungary, Vietnam, Iran, Malaysia, and Nigeria.

The interdisciplinary nature of our studies is valuable not only for its immediate benefits to our research but also for keeping the door open to diverse career paths in engineering and science. It's the perfect introduction to the team-based approach common in the universities and industry. Not only does it give one the knowledge and the vocabulary to understand other disciplines, but it also provides the necessary communication skills. Mr. Inder Pal Singh presented his paper on device designing for communication systems.
