The Engineering Department, in coordination with the On Job Training Department of Shinas College of Technology, organized an industrial visit to L& T Modular Fabrication Yard, LLC on 12^th Mar 2015.

 Ten students at the B. Tech. level, accompanied with two faculty members, visited the yard. Mr. Madhavan, Production In-charge, Mr. Anish, Health and Safety and Mr. Sreekanth Reddy received the students and explained major activities related to health and safety.

L&T MFY, LLC is has a working relationship with FD VII Rig, MNP Jacket on Board, ASH, a deck project for Maersk oil, Qatar and also received the Sword of Honor 2014 award from the British Safety Council.

Students viewed the Spool Fabrication unit, while seated in the van, where different pipes were being fabricated. Various activities like auto-blasting, painting and submerged arc welding was under progress.

The visit was encouraging and the students were enthusiastic.
