ED facilitates webinar
The Engineering Department (ED) facilitated a webinar on “COVID-19 Product Design Manufacturing using the Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing) to Shape the Future” on July 6, 2020.
ED lecturer Mr. Krishna Kumar Koyyala served as the resource speaker.
Mr. Krishna demonstrated the various applications of Additive Manufacturing in food, research and development, health care, aerospace, architecture, entertainment, automobile, interior design, defense, construction, biomedical, education and fashion.
He also explained that a simple COVID 19 product such as a door handle design using the Sketch-up 2020 software, and a door handle slicing process using Ultimate Cura, a 3D printing software, can prevent the corona virus from spreading.
The workshop, which was attended by Shinas College of Technology staff, was organized by the ED- Staff Support Committee.
