The Engineering Department, in collaboration with the OJT department of the college organized an industrial visit on November 30, 2015 to Oman Solar Systems(OSS), Muscat.

The visit was organized with the guidance of Engineering HOD Dr. Mohammed Al Weshahi.

ShCT lecturers Mr. Aaras Kraidi and Mr. Khalifa Al Quri supervised the fifteen Bachelor Level students who participated in the visit.

OSS welcomed the visitors as they organized a presentation about the company and its projects. The hosts also taught the students how to design Solar Photovoltaic Systems in both on-grid and off-grid cases.

OSS took the students for a tour into their labs and workshops showing them various equipment.

Supervisors and students expressed gratitude to OSS General Manager Mr. Raman Kumar for his kind cooperation in facilitating the visit.

With the industrial visit, students were exposed to the design and assembly of solar PV systems.

The visit aimed to give a professional touch and application-oriented approach to the projects students are working on.
