On January 14, 2016, the Staff Professional Development Committee (SPDC) of the Business Studies Department (BSD) organized a seminar on cultural sensitivity at the Multi Purpose Hall.

Conducted by ShCT ELC lecturer Ms. Maryam Al Aufi , the one-hour seminar aimed to acquaint the BSD lecturers on the culture of Oman and the Arab World.

Ms. Maryam shared her knowledge of Arab and Omani Culture.  Moreover, she discussed the Omani heritage and the topographic points of interest in Oman which can make the expatriates appreciate  Oman’s deep history and beauty.

The seminar helped the BSD faculty to gain more knowledge of the norms and standards of Omani culture particularly in dealing with their students, their colleagues, and the community.
