OQ Delivers Soft Skills Development Workshop to UTAS Students
As part of a series of workshops on the industrial Awareness Program, organized by the On-the-Job Training Department and the Guidance and Counseling Department, a workshop entitled Personal Skills Development was delivered by OQ trainer Hamdan Bin Abdullah Al Zaabi (Senior Work Culture Trainer) on Thursday 24th November 2022.
During the workshop, the trainer touched on several points, including the relationship between the conscious and unconscious mind, limiting beliefs, and the need to develop a growth mindset in order to identify SMART targets. He also talked about stress management, dealing with psychological trauma and how to stay motivated all day. Participants were introduced to the concept of the Skills Development Wheel and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) techniques to adopt for better communication.
All points were discussed in an interactive workshop, taking ideas and suggestions from the participating students. In addition, Mr. Hamdan discussed solutions to help students adopt a transformative approach to develop their personal skills.
At the end of the session, Trainer Hamdan Al Zaabi was thanked by the deanship, for providing a very insightful workshop that demonstrated crucial aspects of soft skills development.
