On 14th December 2023, The Community Engagement Committee of the Preparatory Studies Center at UTAS Shinas successfully organized a dynamic CV Writing Workshop, targeting community graduates and students. The session was presented by Mr. Basit Sultan, an esteemed English lecturer at PSC-UTAS-Shinas.With a vision to uplift the employability quotient of the community, the workshop was meticulously crafted to resonate with the unique requirements and aspirations of the student body. Key topics covered included the art of crafting a compelling curriculum vitae, understanding pivotal components, accentuating individual talents and accomplishments, and tailoring CVs to align with specific job roles. Recognizing the diverse career aspirations of the attendees, Mr. Basit offered tailored advice and showcased practical examples pertinent to sectors such as IT, Business, Engineering, and part-time roles. Feedback from the participants resonated with a heightened sense of confidence, underscoring the workshop's efficacy in bolstering readiness for professional endeavors. The event witnessed an impressive turnout, with thirty-eight participants. Dr. Darwish Abdullah Al-Kalbani, Deputy Assistant Vice Chancellor for Research & Innovation, and Dr. Hani Abbas Mohammed Al-Balushi, Level 1 Coordinator, graced the occasion. They honored Mr. Basit Sultan with a certificate of appreciation for his invaluable contribution and also presented certificates to the attendees.
