Information Technology- Shinas (ITS) Club, the official student organization of IT Department, has announced the result of the election of officers held last November 5, 2018 thru online voting.

Heading the ITS Club for one – year term is Maryana Rashid Mohammed Al-Naqbi. She is an Advanced Diploma Networking student and previous IT Club Director for Membership. She won first prize in the IT Solutions for Business during the Oman Skills 2016 Competition in Muscat.

Joining Maryana as Vice President is Mohammed Ali-Rashid Al-Maqbali, Second Year- Diploma. Secretary is Khaloud Said Khamis Al-Muqbali, an Advanced Diploma Networking student.

In addition, the elected Directors are Thuraiya Salim Rashid Al-Washahi as Director for Membership, Mohammed Hamed Shwan Al-Saede as Director for Communication and Information, and Hajar Ahmed Rashid Al-Sananiya as Director for Student Development Program.

Elected as level representatives are Amamah Hassan Mohammed Al-Ajmi for Bachelor, Danya Said Abdallah Al-Shirawi for Advanced Diploma and Omar Abdullah Salim Al-Mamari for Diploma.

According to Maryana, “The students must actively participate in all activities to develop their skills that will help them in their future careers.” She also added, “They are very much excited to serve and cater to the needs of the whole studentry.”

The ITS Club provides an effective support to improve students’ academic performance and engage them in college and external activities which include but not limited to industry visits, seminars, competitions, workshops and trainings.

IT Head Ms. Amina Al-Jabri congratulated the new officers and promised them to give her full support to the organization.
