Information Technology (IT) Department lecturer Mr. Nagoor Meeran facilitated a webinar on “A deep dive into File System Forensics” for 49 Shinas College of Technology staff on June 17, 2020.

The webinar aimed at exploring the inner workings of NT File System (NTFS) in the context of Computer Forensics Analysis.

Mr. Meeran elucidated the structure and system files of NTFS, and the inner workings of Master File Table (MFT).

“Knowing where the evidence resides on a data storage media is essential to become a successful forensics analyst,” said Mr. Meeran.

Said event is part of the webinar series organized by the Staff Professional Development Committee of the IT Department.
