Basma Rashid Khamis Al-Isaii and Shaima Hassan Sulaiman Al-Bulushi bagged 1^st   place in the Search for ShCT Math Genius 2017 at A-229 on November 21, 2017.

The Information Technology Students’ (ITS) Club, in collaboration with the Math section,    spearheaded the event in celebration of the 3^rd Oman Mathematics Day.

The competition aimed to test the mathematical skills of students particularly in the field of Pure Math, Basic Math and Abstract Reasoning.

Meanwhile, Engineering students Abdullah Mohammad Abdullah Al-Saidi and Salim Talib Khalfan Al-Kurdini won 2^nd place; whereas, IT students Mitha Nasser Mohammed Al-Isail and Amani Saif Ali Al-Zeidi bagged 3^rd place.

Mathematics lecturer Dr. Sudhakar Chaubey served as the quiz master, while Mr. Mahesh Garvandha led the running-score panel.

IT Department Head Ms. Amina Al Jabri awarded certificates and tokens to the winners the next day.

She congratulated the IT Club Officers headed by Ms. Fatma Al-Jabri for organizing the event that helps develop and inspire students to exert more effort in studying.

Moreover, she thanked the Math Section staff headed by Mr. Deo Joaquin for lending a hand to the organizers.
