ESS Staff deliver training on InDesign, Photography for Staff
The Educational Services Section (ESS) in alignment with the Staff Professional Development Plan for 2016-2017, delivered a training on InDesign and Basic Photography for the staff on March 9, 2017. The trainings were conducted by Mr. Joel Palad and Mr. Gary Olfindo both ESS staff.
Mr. Olfindo imparted the Basic Photography training and discussed the basic feature of DSLR cameras. Other topics discussed were: basic photography equipment, areas of photography, proper handling, camera exploration, Q & info button, mode dials, shutter, ISO and aperture functions as well as focus points.
The InDesign training workshop aimed to impart knowledge on the use of the Adobe InDesign in creating lay-out for magazines, newsletters and brochures as well as other promotional materials.
Among the topics discussed at the InDesign training were: creating and modifying pages/spread, hiding, applying images and plotting to spread, locking and hiding object using layer tool, adding text and applying effects, inserting shapes, inserting paragraph using text on path and exporting the project as a book/publication
These trainings were conducted in order to adhere to the projection plan of the ETC-ESS in providing training and workshops to all staff.
