The Staff Professional Development Team (SPDT) of the English Language Center (ELC) organized English Language Teaching (ELT) workshops for ELC staff held at Theater, Engineering Building, on May 3, 2018.

Dr. Said Nasser Al-Amrani, Sohar University faculty member, presented the result of his study entitled “Willingness to Communicate in L2: Face-to-face vs Online.”

He emphasized the sources of communication anxiety among the respondents, as well as the ways to improve students’ willingness to communicate using English language.

SQU Educator Dr. Victoria Tuzlukova delivered “General Education for Students’ Development: Addressing the need to Handle Differences in the English language Classroom.”

She expressed the importance of having differentiated instructions for diverse students.

At the end of both presentations, questions were raised by the audience which were actively answered by the speakers.

SPDT Leader Mr. Ossama Sayed spearheaded the organization of the said workshop along with Staff Support Committee Coordinator Mr. Given Chakalisa.
