ELC SSC spearheads Public Speaking Competition
ELC’s Student Support Committee spearheaded the “Public Speaking Competition” at the ShCT Theater on November 22 and 28, 2017.
A total of 12 contestants from ELC’s Foundation and Post-Foundation Programs participated in the competition but only six students qualified for the final round.
Fatma Abdullah Hassan Al Shehhi bagged first place, while Shajoun Mohammed Saif Al Abri clinched 2nd place in the fascinating competition attended by ELC students.
This event was conducted to: a) provide the select students with an opportunity to develop the vital skills that enable them to speak with confidence in public, b) encourage them to hone their public speaking skills, and c) provide an avenue for the application of effective presentation skills that they learned in their Speaking classes.
SSC collaborated with the Post Foundation Coordinator Mr. Shijan Joseph and the Public Speaking lecturers.
