The Staff Professional Development Team (SPDT) of the English Language Center (ELC) held two seminars for its lecturers on January 8, 2020, at the ELC Building and Main Building, respectively.

Titled “Making Learners Pragmatically Competent”, Dr. Roy P. Veetil, a lecturer at Sohar University, shed light on the different ways of instilling pragmatism in English Language learners.

On the other hand, Educational Technology Center (ETC) staff Ms. Fatma Al Balushi elucidated ways of accessing scientific academic journals and techniques in her seminar titled “Publishing in Scientific Journals.”

Staff Support Committee Coordinator Mr. Given Chakalisa expressed his gratitude to both resource speakers for sharing their expertise and awarded them with certificates of appreciation.
