ELC Lecturers spearhead workshop on building rapport with students
Mr. Ossama El Sayed, Ms. Samar Ahmed and Ms. Azza Rashad, English Language Center (ELC) lecturers, conducted a workshop entitled ‘Breaking the Ice: Insights for Building Rapport with Students’ held at the Multi-Purpose Hall, Engineering Building, on 1st February 2018.
One of the presenters, Mr. Ossama, discussed the definition, importance, requirements and challenges of building rapport with students. Ms. Samar emphasized the recurring problems in the classroom that negatively affects the student-teacher relationship while Ms. Azza talk about strategies and techniques in building rapport with students.
At the end of the workshop, Mr. Ahmed Al Saadi, Head of Section (HoS) - English Language Program (ELP), awarded certificate to the presenters as a token of appreciation and gratitude.
The program was organized by ELC’s Staff Support Committee headed by Mr. Given Chakalisa.
