ELC faculty presenters in Oman 19th Int’l ELT Conference
ELC faculty Dr. Joseph Dayag and Ms. Samar Ahmed Mouneimne presented an academic paper and a workshop during the Oman 19th International English Language Teaching (ELT) Conference held at Sultan Qaboos University, Muscat, April 11-12, 2019.
In his paper presentation, Dr. Dayag elucidated the importance of promoting intrinsic motivation and creativity among EFL learners as he shared the initial findings of his recent study: “Fostering Intrinsic Motivation and Creativity among EFL Students.”
Ms. Mouneimne facilitated a workshop titled “Writing Process vs. Writing Product” that underscored the significance of following the process approach to writing in EFL classrooms.
Moreover, 11 other ELC lecturers (ELC Head Ali Abdullah Al Balushi, HOS-CTM Nasser Al Hindasi, Amal Al Jahwari, Abdullah Al Balushi, Hamdan Al Abri, Maryam Al Ghaiti, Safiya Al Ajmi, Shijan Joseph, Xavier Susai, Preetha Anthony, and Senthil Kumar Devarajan) attended the conference as participants.
Themed “Innovative Approaches to English Language Teaching and Learning,” the international academic gathering welcomed over 700 educators from different parts of Oman and around the globe.
