Faculty members of the Electrical Section of the Engineering Department, headed by Dr. Ahmed Al Balushi, attended a workshop on ‘Oman Qualification Framework (OQF) Pilot Capacity Building’ on December 17-19, 2018 at Holiday Inn, Al Seeb Muscat.

The workshop, which was organized by Oman Academic Accreditation Association (OAAA), covered the following topics: National Qualification Frameworks for Benchmarking, OQF Terminologies, OQF Governance, Management & Implementation, OQF Quality Assurance, Listing Qualifications, OQF Level Descriptors, Oman Qualification Arrangements and National Policy of Listing Qualifications.

The workshop also served as a venue for the ShCT participants to look into some possible modifications and improvements that they can add in their department’s course offerings: Diploma in Electrical Power Engineering & Advance Diploma in Electrical Power Engineering.

The five Engineering faculty participants were Dr. Ahmed Al Balushi, Dr. Lenin Anselm, Mr. Mahesh Aphale, Mr. Murali Krishna Boddu and Mr. Arun Gopinath.
