Majan Electricity Company trains ShCT students
Majan Electrictiy Company (MEC) trained about 80 ShCT students on “Identifying the Faults in Underground Cables” on November 29, 2016.
The Engineering club organized the training in cooperation with MJEC.
MEC employee Mr. Ali Ibrahim Al-Maeini explained the various equipment available in MEC’s fault locating facility, namely: thermographic cameras, corona cameras, fault beators, partial discharge measuring devices for cables and insulation testing facility.
With the training, students of Electrical Power Section understood the concepts of cable testing, identification of fault location in underground cables, and application of high voltage testing devices.
