The Engineering Department in cooperation with the On-the-job Training (OJT) Department of Shinas College of Technology (ShCT) arranged a visit to Majan Electricity Substation on 4^th October 2018 at Aswad, Shinas.

Electrical Engineer Yousuf Murad Al Balushi welcomed the students and the accompanying faculty, Mr. Mahesh Aphale. He then guided the group throughout the visit.

After introduction to the power system in Oman, its components and voltage levels, Mr. Yousef also gave a copy of a short and elaborate handout to the visitors who were taken to the incoming 33kV feeders up to the metering and control room.

It was the first time for the 24 Diploma Electrical Engineering students to experience such activity, they enjoyed and actively participated during the discussion with Mr. Yousef.
