Twenty-eight Advanced Diploma Electrical Engineering students visited Majan Electricity Company (MJEC) Substation at Khadrawein, on February 26, 2020.

The industrial visit aimed at enriching students’ knowledge on a substation’s components, protection and control system.

During the visit, MJEC Site Engineer Mr. Yousuf Murad Al Balushi welcomed the students, discussed the safety procedures that must be followed while inside the substation and demonstrated the maintenance of a substation’s parts.

The students were also given a tour to the automated SCADA based-control room of the substation.

Engineering Department (ED) lecturers Mr. Satya Narayan Mishra and Mr. Ameer Hamza accompanied the students during the visit.
