The Engineering Department (ED), in coordination with the Community Engagement Committee, spearheaded two workshops for aspiring technicians and engineers, at Rooms B-110 and B-126 respectively, from April 22-25, 2019.

ED lecturer Mr. Mohammed Hakim delivered a workshop on Autodesk 3D studio max while lecturers Dr.Nidamanuri Babu, Mr.Manikandan Kadirivel, Mr. Raja Govindan, and Mr.Mohammaed Azhar provided a training on AutoCAD.

Mr. Hakim explained the various 3D max tools and its use in designing basic civil engineering based objects such as doors, windows, floors and roofs.

Dr. Babu and his team demonstrated the various commands used in AutoCAD software and how mechanical models such as flanged coupling and screw jacks are usually designed.

ED Head Dr. Ahmed Al Balushi awarded the participants with certificates of attendance on the last day of  training, while Community Engagement Committee Head Mr. Saif Al Weshahi thanked the resource speakers for sharing their expertise.
