ShCT, IbriCT conduct online benchmarking sessions
Shinas College of Technology (ShCT) and Ibri College of Technology (IbriCT) conducted a two-day benchmarking session through video conferencing on May 12-13, 2020.
On the first day of the benchmarking activity, ShCT and IbriCT’s department and section heads, Quality Assurance (QA) coordinators and selected staff members benchmarked their practices such as staff professional development, assessment, research activities and student projects, probation and placement.
On the other hand, the second day was chaired by the two college deans and participated by the Quality Assurance Department (QAD) heads, ShCT-QAD staff members, IbriCT-QA ambassadors and selected non-academic departments heads and staff members. Institutional Standards Assessment and Accreditation (ISAA) orientation and awareness practices, internal audit, and policy and risk management were included in the discussion.
The benchmarking activity gave both colleges the opportunity to identify their best practices, review their strengths and weaknesses and learn from each other’s practices.
The deans echoed their satisfaction in the event and suggested to conduct more activities that will benefit both colleges in the future.
