Representatives of the Quality Department (QD) under the Ministry of Manpower (MoM) visited Shinas College of Technology (ShCT) for Annual Quality Assurance (QA) Audit on April 30 to May 1, 2018.

QD Head Dr. Salim Al Jabri, spearheaded the visit, along with QD members Dr. Nida Mallare, Mr. Waseem Hashim, Dr. Bennet Ebnezer and Mr. Younis Al Balushi.

The visit started with a brief introductory meeting with ShCT team led by Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Al Mamari, with Mr. Ali Al Alawi, Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, and Dr. Syed Hussaini from the Quality Assurance Unit (QAU).  The QD team audited all the Academic Departments and English Language Center (ELC).

Parallel meetings with selected staff and students from the different Departments and ELC were also conducted. 

The QD team had a brief interactive session with the Institutional Standards Assessment Application (ISAA) and General Foundation Program Audit (GFPA) report writing members to brief them about the report writing techniques for ISAA and GFPA.  

The audit visit concluded with a feedback briefing with Dr. Ahmed Al Mamari.
