The Human Resources (HR) Department, in cooperation with ShCT’s Health and Safety Committee, College Clinic, Student Activities Department and the Staff Support Services Committee of all the departments and centers, conducted the ‘Healthy Life’, a comprehensive health program in the forms of exhibits and lectures,  at the Main Building on January 15 & 16, 2019. 

 

Health institutions in the North Al-Batinah region such as Lifeline Hospital, Bu Baqara Health Center, Liwa Health Center, Sohar Hospital, Dr. Nutrition, Finland Eye Center, Directorate of Health Services, and Governate of North Al-Batinah participated in the said event.

 

The above-mentioned institutions offered free tests and consultations in BP, BMI, RBS, eye check-up, nutrition, breast cancer and uterine cancer, blood pressure and diabetes, treating strokes, patient safety initiative, wounds, and prevention of associated infections. Doctors also conducted lectures to raise the participants’ awareness on sports injuries, contemporary diseases, prevention and treatment of renal dialysis, breast cancer and cervical cancer, physiological changes in adolescence, and genetic consultation.

 

Both ShCT staff and students attended the said event and availed of the free services offered by the participating health institutions.
