On behalf of my colleagues, staff and community of students, welcome to the Civil & Architectural Engineering Section, one of the youngest sections in Shinas College of Technology.
The Civil & Architectural Engineering Section offers the following degrees: Bachelor, Advanced Diploma and Diploma in Civil Engineering. We have a history of more than 5 years of producing high quality graduates who make a real difference nationally by serving the Omani industrial economy.
The Section has well-equipped and sophisticated extensive teaching and research laboratories, such as: construction materials, engineering surveying, construction technology and hydraulics, geotechnical, structural mechanics, building information modelling and transportation. The section also has enough computer laboratories used for AutoCAD drawing & Google Sketch up. These facilities play a major role in the professional and technical development of our students.
The Section consists of 14 full time lecturers, 6 technicians, and over 200 students in the section. All the academic staff members have national and international reputations. Moreover, the Section offers consultancy services and short courses to the local community and industry. Hence, the Civil & Architectural Engineering Section contributes to the economic, manpower and social development of Oman.
