ITD inducts new Diploma I studes
The Information Technology Department (ITD) organized two-sessions of an induction-cum-orientation program for the new Diploma students at A-041 on May 16, 2017.
IT lecturers Ms. Malathi Gopinath and Prashanth Kumar provided an overview of the IT Department and the different specializations it offers.
Counselling and Graduates Follow-up staff member Ms. Naida Swaidan Al-Saiedi gave a lecture on the academic system, the related policies and procedures, and other academic matters that serve to guide the new students in obtaining the desired Cumulative General Point Average (CGPA) and avoid entering probation status.
Counselling and Graduates Follow-up Head Mr. Ahmed Al-Farsi explained about probation, how to avoid and move out from it, learning styles and study habits, and other related matters.
The Education Technology Center (ETC) technicians Ms. Kalithem Mohammed Salim Al-Jabri and Ms. Maryam Ahmed Salim Al-Suliteni informed the students about the student services offered by the ETC.
This induction-cum-orientation activity aimed to orient and educate the new diploma students about the academic system, policies and procedures, specializations offered, available student services and support, counselling services, and extra and co-curricular activities, among others.
