The English Group (EG) led the celebration of the 2^nd English Open Day on June 5, 2014. The said event is part of the week-long celebration “1^st Shinas College of Technology (ShCT) Culture Week,” with the theme: “Bringing Technology to Life” on June 1-5, 2014.

Other Colleges of Technology such as Higher College in Muscat, Al Musanna and Ibri, as well as International Maritime College joined the said celebration.

Various activities were conducted during the said date. In the morning, there was an exhibition of different marriage cultures. There were also exhibits led by ELC lecturers from different parts of the world.

Indoor activities such as Rafza (traditional Arab dance), Presentation Competition, Poetry (IMCo), Sketch (ShCT and Ibri College of Technology), Talent Competition, and Debate were all carried-out in the afternoon.

Gifts and prizes were given to students who participated in and won in the competitions.

EG is under the supervision of Student Support Coordinator, Mr. Hamdan Al Abri.
