A group of 23 students from Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering visited Al Sallan Food Industries, Sohar Industrial Estate on October 31, 2017.  

The Engineering Department’s (ED) Industrial Liaison Committee, in coordination with ShCT’s On-the-Job Training Department, organized the industrial visit.

Involved in the manufacturing and marketing of cookies, fruit-filled rolls and chocolate bars, Al Sallan Food Industries has a high-tech manufacturing facility located in the Sohar Industrial Estate, Sohar, and Sultanate of Oman.

Through the industrial visit, the students learned about the company’s manufacturing process and had a closer look at the different high technology machineries and equipment.
