Shinas College of Technology(ShCT) spearheaded the first-ever “ShCT Sports Day 2017” at Sohar Stadium on April 20, 2017.

Led by Assistant Dean for Financial and Administration Affairs Mr. Ali Mahmood Al Bulushi, ShCT administrators, faculty and staff participated in a number of friendly matches during the one-day event held in Sohar City, more than 60 kilometers from the college.

The male employees played tug-of-war, football, squash, basketball, chess, volleyball, badminton, carrom and table tennis in the Old Sports Hall.

Meanwhile, the female staff enjoyed participating in tug-of-war, passing the ball, lemon and spoon, three-legged race, basketball, chess, carrom, and table tennis in the New Sports Hall.

Organized by ShCT’s Human Resource Department led by Ms. Fawziya Al Jabri in coordination with Student Activities Department, ShCT Sports Day 2017 aimed at fostering camaraderie among the employees.

After the competitions, the organizers awarded the group and individual winners with customized trophies.

When asked about the Sports Day, most of the employees expressed appreciation and gratitude to the ShCT Administration for making the one-day event possible.
