A team from the International Maritime College of Oman (IMCO) visited Shinas College of Technology (ShCT) for benchmarking on November 7, 2017.

The benchmarking initiative was focused on the best practices of the two higher learning institutions specifically on the following: staff appraisal system, staff reward system, staff professional development system, risk management, health & safety, and policy management system.

The IMCO team was led by Quality Assurance (QA) Manager Dr. Amer Hamood Al Habsi. IMCO team members include Mr. Hamoud Al Harthy, Human Resources (HR) Director; Ms Shaima Al Ajmi, English teacher from the Foundation Program; and Mr. Mubarak Al Nasri HSE Officer and Risk Management Coordinator.

Meanwhile, the ShCT team was led by Quality Assurance Unit (QAU) Admin Coordinator Dr. Syed Sulaiman Hussaini. ShCT team members include: HR Department Head Ms. Fawziya Al Jabri, ShCT Health & Safety Committee Chairperson Mr. Aaras Y Kraidi, and  QAU Admin Members  Dr. Joaquin J. Gabayno and Mr. Dhanasekaran Neelakantan.
