BSD Community Workshop Explores Different Writing Styles and Techniques
The Business Studies Department at the University of Technology and Applied Sciences in Shinas recently hosted a workshop entitled "Why We Write?". The event, organized by the Community and Alumni Engagement Committee on 9th March 2023, aimed to provide attendees with insights into different writing styles and their respective uses. The workshop featured Ms. Hajer Ali Al-Ghufaili, a HRM lecturer at UTAS-Shinas, as the resource speaker. Ms. Al-Ghufaili highlighted the different styles of writing and explained the reasons behind their usage. She also shared perspectives from a spectrum of famous writers, providing attendees with a comprehensive understanding of writing techniques. The event was facilitated by Ms. Amel Radouch, a member of the Community and Alumni committee and business lecturer in the Business Studies Department. The workshop was well-attended, with students from grades 7 through 12 from UmHani Primary School, along with their teachers, in attendance.The workshop was a success in providing attendees with practical insights into various writing styles and their applications. The Community and Alumni Engagement Committee and the Business Studies Department are committed to hosting more events that will help students and community members enhance their writing skills.
